Inspirational Girlfriends

I had a wonderful day meeting with one girlfriend for lunch and another for coffee. Both inspire me, both are very creative, positive energy people. How lucky I am to have friends like this! I am considering starting an art group, like Kristi started years ago with some new local gals. Hopefully we could inspire each other. I know that I need some sort of jump start to being creative again. Thank you, Kristi, thank you Sharon!

    Thank you Barb. I've always felt that you are one of the cheerleaders in my life.

    I think what you are doing with this blog, connecting with old friends and planning another art group are all very CREATIVE actions in response to what you are feeling at fifty. You are identifying what you need and now you are on a journey to find some answers. Embrace this time. Use it to explore possibilities... make a wish list that goes from ha ha to AHHA! Then be open to opportunities when they present themselves. That last part I think you are very good at. In fact you are good at all of this. Maybe 50 is a generous signal to refocus on YOU again.

    Thank you Kristi and Hilary. Starting is the hardest part! It's almost crippling..... But I want to feel energized like my friend JQ who is opening up her own shop and she is even older than I am! She told me "I FEEL ALIVE!" I want to feel that too!

    I finally got around to reading ALL the posts and now thank YOU for our lunch two months ago. You inspire me as well! And our telephone conversation today was just what I needed: A shot of Barb energy to mix with my own to enjoy this wonderfully rainy spring day! I'm heading up to our photography studio where my art/creativity in that world is covered with piles and I have decided to work on Colorado landscapes and abstract images this afternoon with a cup of tea and music!!! A whole hour doing what I love...thanks Barb! Can't wait to report in on the Wise Women training...watch out: We're burning brighter every day and your blog is the spark!!!! Love you!
